… a short documentary is just as good as a long talk docencourts’s main ambition is to develop an international short-documentary film event . docencourts actually gives the opportunity to support short-documentary production, and it helps to give to new authors a better visibility as well. But it also contributes to create new lateral thinking of reality, with a subjective and original point of view caused by a great cinema-wish. It is not only about arousing people’s curiosity, and educating people’s tastes but also about sparking off professional’s desire to produce and release short-documentary films. docencourts is the first international event totally dedicated to the new documentary cinema.
